Hi folks,

Well what a long time it has been since the last update. What do you think of the new website design? A big thank you goes to Paul Smith for working so hard designing it for me.

Things have been quite good this year; I have been in hospital a few times, one for an operation to split the fingers on my right hand. That went really well and I now have much better movement in my fingers.

The second time was for investigations into my bladder, I had a cystograph on the first day to check for a growth within the bladder (luckily there isn’t one) and for general investigations. They did find a problem with the bladder wall being too thick but that was it. On the second day I had Urodynamics done; these tests show how the bladder responds when water is placed inside it. They found that the medication I am on isn’t doing as good a job as is needed, the trouble is I am on the strongest dose possible for my age, but the consultant has put the medication up by 50%. The only trouble now is trying to convince the pharmacist that it’s ok, as they always question the amount as it is.

The consultant has also said that he will do a bladder reconstruction sometime soon, at the same time he will do the ACE which will help with my bowel issues.

We are getting ready for Christmas at the moment, I have a lovely list for santa, I think he will have his work cut out to bring me all my toys......lol

Take care

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you have all had a lovely time. I had a poor couple of weeks before Christmas because I had to see the doctor as I was coughing a lot and my breathing was fast and laboured. The doctor said it was a chest infection and gave me some antibiotics. The next day I hadn't gotten any better so my mum and dad took me to see my own GP who sent me straight to hospital. It turned out that I had had a chronic asthma attack and not a chest infection. So now I am on inhaled steroids twice a day as well as an inhaler for when I have an attack. While I was in the hospital I met the Plymouth Argyle football team who gave me a hat and were about to give me some gloves until they noticed my hand agave me some sweatbands instead.

I started to get excited on Christmas eve when we had some food to put outside for Rudolph, the food was oats with some glitter mixed with it, that way if Rudolph couldn't smell the oats at least he would be able to see the glitter. I left father Christmas a mince pie and a drink as well as a carrot for Rudolph. They were gone in the morning so they must have been hungry!. I had plenty of Christmas presents from Father Christmas including a set of drums, some dvd's, some animated figures shrek, Donkey, Buzz and Woody, a garage and cars, plus lots of other lovely things.

Now that the new year is upon us I am expecting a date for my next operation on my right hand, not too sure when it will be but hopefully it won't be too long.

Anyway thats it for now so take care and come back soon.

Lots of love

Aled
